ਸੂਹੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥
SOOHEE, FIFTH MEHL:
- ਅਨਿਕ ਬੀਂਗ ਦਾਸ ਕੇ ਪਰਹਰਿਆ ॥
God covers the many shortcomings of His slaves.
- ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਅਪਨਾ ਕਰਿਆ ॥੧॥
Granting His Mercy, God makes them His own. || 1 ||
- ਤੁਮਹਿ ਛਡਾਇ ਲੀਓ ਜਨੁ ਅਪਨਾ ॥
You emancipate Your humble servant,
- ਉਰਝਿ ਪਰਿਓ ਜਾਲੁ ਜਗੁ ਸੁਪਨਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
and rescue him from the noose of the world, which is just a dream. || 1 || Pause ||
- ਪਰਬਤ ਦੋਖ ਮਹਾ ਬਿਕਰਾਲਾ ॥
Even huge mountains of sin
- ਖਿਨ ਮਹਿ ਦੂਰਿ ਕੀਏ ਦਇਆਲਾ ॥੨॥
and corruption are removed in an instant by the Merciful Lord. || 2 ||
- ਸੋਗ ਰੋਗ ਬਿਪਤਿ ਅਤਿ ਭਾਰੀ ॥
Sorrow, disease and the most terrible calamities are removed by meditating on the Naam
- ਦੂਰਿ ਭਈ ਜਪਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਮੁਰਾਰੀ ॥੩॥
the Name of the Lord. || 3 ||
- ਦ੍ਰਿਸਟਿ ਧਾਰਿ ਲੀਨੋ ਲੜਿ ਲਾਇ ॥
Bestowing His Glance of Grace, He attaches us to the hem of His robe.
- ਹਰਿ ਚਰਣ ਗਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਰਣਾਇ ॥੪॥੨੨॥੨੮॥
Grasping the Lord’s Feet, O Nanak, we enter His Sanctuary. || 4 || 22 || 28 ||
